It was easy to find the tour director and great to skip the line and go in a special entrance.

There was a line, but getting our tickets was easy. We spent at least 2 hours in the gallery, maybe more. The gallery was actually closing down when we were just seeing the last couple of rooms. So maybe having the tickets available earlier would be better if you want to spend more time admiring all the artwork.

Definitely a must when visiting Florence. My only comment is that the instructions on picking up the ticket were a little unclear. Should read 'Get to the Uffizi 15 minutes early and wait beside the With Reservations line'. Tour operator rep will show up and give you the ticket where you then can join the 'With Reservations' line and exit ahead of the crowds.

We were private tourists, but the process identified us as a tour, causing minor confusion. Otherwise it was worthwhile, and we entered without delay, thanks to an alert staff member at Uffizi.
