We had gone to Sydney via a safari in South Africa, and I was regretting booking this on the way, as we had loved the safari. But the kids loved this up close experience; we got longer than booked, and the keepers were just great. If you have young kids, book it! Ours are 11, 9, 7, and 4, and they all loved it.

It was great to get so close to the animals. We had a great time.

We fed wallabies, emus, long-nosed potaroos and had behind the scenes access that was the envy of other zoo visitors. My wife and I did this on the last day of our trip and it was a perfect ending.

Brilliant experience! Meeting the animals up close and even feeding some of them was great and we learned a lot of interesting info from the zoo attendant.

Our guide was great. It was a lot of fun going into the cages while everyone else had to be content with just looking in from the outside. I also liked the special escorted tour of the zoo kitchen with it's "Freezer of Horrors" containing the formerly live bits that were served to the meat eating residents.

I had visited Zoo's before, but this tour was complete and very interesting. It is a must-see with a guide and behind scenes. What a wonderful experience!

We absolutely loved this tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and answered all our questions and offered to take pictures at all times. Definitely worth every penny.

Informative and fun afternoon with a zoo keeper. And we fed the possums and got close to koalas, echidnas and bilbys.

A little pricey but tour lead by a delightful and knowledgeable naturalist. Really get up close and personal with the animals.

This behind the scenes tour was wonderful! We learned more detailed information about the animals and could ask any questions we wanted. We also go to go into a few exhibits! We fed animals in the nocturnal exhibits and saw the kitchen when they prepare meals. Our guide was fantastic and described the personalities of many of the animals at the zoo - giving a much more personal touch to my visit. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to do something a little different on their next trip to the zoo.

Living in Sydney I have been to Taronga Zoo many times but this was the first time doing a tour behind the scenes. The guide was fantastic telling lots of stories about the individual animals as well as the species in general which made it really interesting. Having a very cute little ring tailed possum sit on my shoulder to eat its lunch was the absolute highlight.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and made for the most interesting zoo experience of our lives. Usually we just look at the animals and move on. She taught us about them. We felt very special going where other people couldn't go. The children loved that they got to feed a couple of the animals.

We lucked out and were the only 2 on the tour - was amazing and well worth it to hear everyone asking - How come they get to go in there? Informative and fun!

Well worth the money. Our guide was excellent, lots of information, a lot of time to visit the animals and learn more about them. Taronga Zoo is beautiful. Behind the scenes time was so cool.
